How incredible that the reviews above are so poorly spelt!! Rsther amusingly they appear to have possibly been from the same person... The Swan Inn has NEVER run out of EVERY roast dinner by 12.30, and always have a large selection of desserts. The manageress has never uttered the word "Naaa" in her life and does not chew gum. Nobody has ever sent back Fishermans pie, and I would never reccommend a child having it as the portion is huge. I would suggest that this review is not just an exaggeration but an outright lie. Sad really. The food at The Swan Inn is fantastic - it's the best food in the area. How can people who can't even spell POSSIBLY comment. Get educated & THEN come back.

I agree with Lisa, This is not the sort of place you would take your family. The chef was swearing alot and i had taken my 8 year old grandaughter. I would not reccomend this. When we arrived everyone seemed very firendly until we decided what we wanted to eat. They seemed to have run out of roasts at 12.30pm on a sunday and it wasnt busy! When we had decided on something else which was the fishermans pie the dish caame out with nothing but this pie it was udercooked in the middle! They didnt have a childrens menu so my grandaughter had to have the same. The Land lady...Venessa was ectramly rude and slammed the food down on the table. i explained to vennes that the fook was under cooked and then she took it back and when she brought it out it was burnt! we just grinned and bared it as they ha got busy at this point and there was other complaints from people around. I decidec it was only right to treaty my grandaughter to a dessert as she had experienced such a horrible dinner but the only thing avaliable was bailys cheesecake or creme brulee. I was appauled that there was only 2 desserts and asked if there was any ice cream. Naaa we dont do that sorry. Was thje response from vennessa while chewing her gum. I really wouldnt reccomend thid pub. A few minuetes down the road is a pub called the dolphin i reccomend that or the compasses !!!

i went in for a sunday lunch. having booked a table it seemed there was a mix up and a table hadnt been reserved for us we waited for a hour before being seated.. the food was cold and the manager was very stubbern. The staff were extreamly rude and the chef was swearing alot and you could hear him in the restarant. The coffe was spilt all over the table right infront of me. luckily noboday was burnt i have eaten out before but it has never been as bad as this. i wouldn't recomend this to anyone. its the worst restarant i have ever been to in my life.
